About Olin Carter III
Olin Carter III is a professional basketball player known for his sharp shooting, relentless work ethic, and leadership on and off the court. Born and raised in Allen, Texas, Olin’s basketball journey began at Allen High School, where he quickly established himself as a standout athlete. A three-year varsity starter, he led his team to its first playoff win in 32 years and a State Final Four appearance, earning multiple honors including First Team All-State, District Offensive Player of the Year, and All-Region selections. His impressive high school career attracted seven Division I scholarship offers.
Olin went on to play at the University of San Diego (NCAA Division I) from 2015 to 2019, where he became a cornerstone of the program. Over four years, he ranked 4th All-Time in Scoring and 2nd All-Time in Made 3-Pointers for the Toreros. A two-time All-Conference selection, Olin helped lead his team to consecutive 20+ win seasons and postseason appearances in both the NIT and CBI tournaments.
Following his collegiate success, Olin began his professional basketball career overseas, competing across Europe, Asia, and Africa. His global journey includes stints in Spain, Serbia, Libya, China, and Kosovo, where he consistently proved himself as a high-impact scorer — averaging between 13 and 25 points per game and ranking among the top scorers in multiple leagues.
Olin has also showcased his talent in the NBA G League, playing for affiliates of the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Phoenix Suns. Across his G League career, he has been a consistent offensive force, highlighted by standout performances such as a career-high 38-point game.
